Interventional Pain Management
What is Interventional Pain Management?
Interventional pain management is a type of pain management treatment that uses procedures to block the source of your pain. These minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures can decrease painful sensations, improve mobility, reduce inflammation, and decrease reliance on pain medications. Most interventional pain management procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis, meaning you would not need to stay overnight at a hospital. Interventional pain management is commonly used to treat spinal pain (which includes lower back pain and neck pain) or pain from damaged or pinched nerves. Our interventional pain management services are provided by our specialty care partner, San Antonio Specialty Health & Sports Medicine.
