Pharmacy Services
Our pharmacy team provides a personal level of management and counseling needed for safe, effective, and affordable treatment. Our Pharmacy provides the following services to CommuniCare patients:
Counseling
- An assessment to obtain necessary information, like the use of other medications
- Instructions on safe use and proper storage
- Guidance on side effects and other possible complications
- Refill reminder calls
- Periodic evaluation check-ins
Financial & Reimbursement Assistance
We make it a priority to help you get financial assistance based on your eligibility. We have sliding fee discounts based on income as an option for qualifying patients.
In addition, we may be able to offer a $0 co-pay for brand prescriptions for qualifying individuals, regardless of insurance status. We also work directly with your CommuniCare Primary Care Provider (PCP) to obtain medication approval from your insurance company as needed. In the event your coverage changes, we will work closely with you and your provider to ensure the medications needed for your care and treatment plan are not interrupted.
Medication Delivery
At this time, we are proud to offer free delivery of all medications directly to your home or location of choice in San Antonio. We can also arrange for any medications to be delivered to any CommuniCare clinic location for you to pick up.
