At CommuniCare’s Shavano Innovation Clinic, we're combining the convenience of drive-through and curbside service with personalized, in-person care options to create a modern healthcare experience built around you. Whether you're a returning patient or visiting us for the first time, you'll find care that’s fast, friendly, and focused on what matters most—your health.

How It Works

  1. Schedule your appointment by calling (210) 233-7000.
  2. Drive up to any available lane at your scheduled time.
  3. Get evaluated by a CommuniCare healthcare worker.
  4. Receive care on the spot without leaving your car.
  5. If necessary, our medical staff will direct you to the Curbside area for additional services like lab testing or immunizations.

Skip the waiting room with Xpress Care! Enjoy a quick visit through our three-lane drive-through, designed for registered patients with same-day appointments. If you or your family are experiencing any of the following symptoms: skin rash, ear pain, pink eye, cough, fever, or sore throat, we’re here to help with compassion, expertise, and efficiency. And the best part? There is no need for you to step out of your car!

Sometimes you need a little more. That's why our drive-through system seamlessly connects to our Curbside Care area, where you can pull into a reserved parking space for additional services.

    • Strep throat
  • Immunizations
    • COVID-19 boosters
    • Flu shots
    • Other routine vaccines (as recommended)

    • Vital signs (blood pressure, body temperature, oxygen levels, etc.)
    • Follow-up evaluations based on test results
  • On-the-spot lab work
    • Quick lab testing and sample collection as needed
